Two Great Margaritas for National Hispanic Month

August 15th, 2013 | News | 0 Comments

Are you looking for a themed promotion to add to your restaurant or bar’s fall lineup? Why not consider creating a special menu to coincide with National Hispanic Month? It traditionally runs from the middle of September to the middle of October. Here’s a look at two great margaritas that would be perfect for such an occasion:

Spicy Mango Margarita

One margarita that would work well for a National Hispanic Month themed night is a Spicy Mango Margarita. Here’s what you’ll need in order to make one:

  • 3 oz. Taste of Florida Margarita
  • 1 oz. Taste of Florida Mango
  • 2 slices of fresh Jalapeño
  • 1 oz. Taste of Florida Sour
  • 2 oz. tequila

Just place all of the ingredients into shaker and strain into a salt rimmed glass.  Garnish it with lime wedge or mango slice.  This pairs well with chips and salsa, chorizo cheese balls and empanadillas.

TOF Jalapeno Margarita

If you want something a bit more spicy, you may want to go with the jalapeno margarita instead. It’s made with freshly sliced jalapenos, tequila and two Taste of Florida mixers (Margarita and Sour). The recipe for our special margarita may be found here. You may want to think about serving them with stuffed jalapeno poppers, bacon wrapped jalapenos or jalapeno and chorizo crescent pinwheels. All three appetizers have a very distinctive kick that’s apt to keep your patrons ordering more cocktails.
